I feel completely honored and horrified at the same time.
In regards to Law and Order, I like SVU and CI, but only when a half hour was devoted to the cop drama and other half hour devoted to the trial.
Tune in next time to see what I'll say next.

I'm still waiting for J-Dub to weigh on the big issues like the recommendation of Judge Alito for the Supreme Court, how FEMA handled Hurricane Katrina (or didn't...), and the Patriot Act not being renewed...

C'Mon J Dub. Do you agree with the decision in Dover, PA to vote out the school board that put replaced the Evolution Theory and Darwinism with Intelligent Design in thier classrooms??

There was nothing wrong with the decision to have a 30 second excerpt saying that not everyone agrees that evolution was the way life came to be on earth in a school, a place of learning. The people voted the school board out because they feared that the lawsuit was costing the district a lot of money and it was going to raise their taxes; its a shame when the concern about money is more important than anything else.

C'mon buddy- thats not why. Its cause its freaking unconstitutional to teach Intelligent design, hence the current Supreme Court Verdict that we are all waiting for. The problem arises in how similar Intelligent Design is to Creationism (the Bible Story). Intelligent Design recognizes an Intelligent Designer (a God). And our friend the Establishment Clause (the first half of the 1st amendment) states that, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or the right of people to peacefully assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances” (U.S. Congress). Its just too similar to Creationism, and Creationism has already been deemed unconstitutional to be taught in a classroom of a Public School. Another way to sum up the situation would be to say that, “The latest twist on creationism is called ‘Intelligent Design’ and is being employed by creationists with hope that they can avoid the constitutional problems of earlier efforts to bring the Bible into the classroom” (Kunstler 51).

Let's not forget that evolution just like creationism are philosophies. If you can teach one in school then you should therefore teach the other or neither. Neither of these views belong in a scicence classroom. Intelligent design may be very similar to creationism and christrians are at the forefront of the battle, but that does not mean you have to be a christian to buy into it. It implies a god created things, not states the Christian God creating all things. A creationist would look at the way things are and have been and say 'wow life is amazing, God is amazing and he created it'. An evolutionist would say 'wow life is amazing, everything must have evolved that way'. When neither of these views can be proven or supported, but simplied believed. Having either of these views is like looking at everything through tinted glasses, only when you take off the shades can you see everything clearly. Evolution was driven by Liberals and the liberal movement which is/was an anti-christian movement that came to the US from Europe as the Great Elightenment. People used to believe in a God who created all things and that was that, when liberals rejected the idea of a God that was all fine but they needed a way to explain life on earth, and evolution was the next best alternative despite the many, many holes it has in it, and is being taught as fact. Anyone who disagree's with evolution is laughed at and ridiculed and anyone who tries to put God in the mix is said to not be science. Just because someone says or thinks that God created things does not mean that it is not science, it just means they believe god created and is in control on everything.
When looking at the constitution it says congress can't make a law establishing religion. That means that congress cannot declare the Luthern Church the church of the United States, like Iraq declaring their state an Islamic State. In no way does that clause mean God and christianity cannot be declared in public life such as saying God exists, saying one nation under God, God save the court, in God we trust. They do not (and cannot) say in 'Catholicism and the Pope do we trust.' The movement(s) to rid public life of anything remotly christian-not religious, but christian has had many strong currents over time which have not been founded in the Law but in anti-christianity. If you are forced to teach people only one thing then they cannot have a choice. But if you teach alternatives then people can and should make a choice, in liberalism that would mean that people may not believe the same thing as they themselves do. Do not be so persuaded by what others tell you to believe, but ponder for yourself on what is and is not truth.
