After searching for a pit tech to no avail, I'm working on a way to make sure we have someone in front of the pit and line at Upper Dublin this fall.
If anyone wants to teach, we need a percussion tech (drumline or pit) urgently. I have the job posting below. You are paid by the district and, recognizing the short notice, am willing to be flexible on the band camp issue. We have a line of: 4 bass, 1 snare, 1 tenor. With the exception of Matt, they are all freshmen and will need a LOT of work on the basics.
The only stipulations are: you cannot be an alumni of the school district (this is the band director's stipulation). The "official" job posting is below.
The Upper Dublin High School Marching Band is looking for a percussion instructor for the Fall 2006 season. The group competes in the Cavalcade of Bands circuit in seven shows throughout the season, including championships. Instructors will be expected to teach during Monday and Thursday evening rehearsals, Friday football games and Saturday rehearsals/competitions once the school year begins.
All interested candidates should contact John Herlihy, Director of Bands at Upper Dublin High School, by e-mail at jherlihy@udsd.org.
